The new Dual Cleaning Tool, which comes with your IQOS, makes this process faster and more efficient. One side of the cleaning brush can be used to clean your IQOS holder, while the other side removes unwanted residue from around the blade.

The importance of the heating blade

HeatControl™ technology is equipped with a gold and platinum-infused ceramic blade that heats the tobacco product optimally from the inside without burning it. The combustion temperature is never reached. As it is an indispensable part of the heating technology, it must be properly cared for.

Before cleaning your IQOS, consider these helpful tips:

• Allow the device to cool for at least 30 seconds after use;
• Do not use liquids to clean the device or cleaning brush.
• Clean IQOS after each pack of tobacco sticks.

To clean IQOS, first use the Dual Cleaning Tool:

1. remove the nozzle and gently tap the holder;
2. use the rotating head of the cleaning brush;
3. Use the sweeping head to remove residue from the blade.

After cleaning with the Dual Cleaning Tool, also use the cleaning stick:

1. clean the inside of the appliance without touching the heating element;
2. Clean the nozzle from the inside (top to bottom).

How to maintain the heating blade?

The ceramic-coated heating blade is one of the most important parts of your IQOS device, so you need to take care to protect it from damage. There are other methods you can use to keep the blade in good working order besides regular cleaning:

• only use tobacco products intended for use with IQOS;
• Do not use excessive force, twist or turn the tobacco product when inserting or removing it;
• Remove the tobacco product carefully – first lift up the holder tip;
• Avoid dropping the device and contact with other hard surfaces.
